My Big Dream Came True

I am so grateful that I can pursue my dream and make it come true – open a boutique florist, and it’s always my pleasure to serve the Greater Springfield Community, Brisbane, growing together with hundreds and hundreds of new households in this area.

Here is my little story. I would like to share with you. Links as below:

Alice's big dream blooms in Australia

MANY people don’t have to move from one side of the world to the other to make their dreams come true.
But that is exactly what Alice Sui has done.

With a dream of owning a small business, Ms Sui packed up her bags and moved more than 6900km away from her native Hong Kong to Australia on her own so she could open a florist.

Her brave and bold decision to dramatically change her life has lead to her successfully opening her own store, Sweet Moments Florist, at Orion Springfield Central.

“It is very hard to start up your own business in Hong Kong, so that is why I moved to Australia,” she said.

“I have been here for around seven months now, and in that time I was searching for a location to open my store.

“I liked Orion Springfield because of the new renovations to the shopping centre and the growth which is happening in the area.”

Ms Sui opened her doors just before Christmas, a day which she described as amazing.
“I really can’t believe that I am here and that I have accomplished my dream,” she said proudly while grinning from ear to ear.

“I have always had a love for flowers, and now I get to work with them every day.

“I love arranging them and making something really beautiful.

“Even though I have only been open for a couple of weeks, I am already getting lots of positive feedback and nice comments from shoppers.”

Her store sells an array of real and fake flowers, as well as giftware’s, and is the only florist within the complex.

Sweet Moments Florist is just one of the many new businesses to open their doors as part of Orion’s $154 million Stage Two work.

IT’S a dream come true for Alice Siu, who has opened the first florist in retail space at Springfield.
Sweet Moments, at Orion Springfield Central, Springfield sells preserved flowers, artificial flowers and fresh blooms for all occasions.

Ms Siu, of Sunnybank, said she came from Hong Kong specifically to open Sweet Moments Florist in the growing area.

“There’s lots of potential here at Springfield. It’s a young and exciting area,” Ms Siu said.

“I’ve only been here for seven months but this is the reason why I am here.”

Sweet Moments specialises in weddings, graduations and home decorations.
And with Valentine’s Day on its way, Ms Siu is looking forward to helping locals find the perfect blooms for their loved ones.
